The Arthur Rollneck, in Ivory, takes its name from Navigator Arthur Whitten Brown who, with Pilot John Alcock, made the first non-stop transatlantic flight in June 1919.
The flight, flown in a modified Vickers Vimy, was not an easy one, with both Brown and Alcock suffering from icy conditions.
They had flown 1890 miles in 15 hours 57 minutes at an average speed of 115mph.
 
The rollneck is of a very traditional design, with a high waistband, enabling it to be pulled down or folded over. It is a tighter fit, so would recommend ordering the next size up for a looser fitting.
