The Webb Ellis Jersey, made in England, is named after the Reverend William Webb Ellis, who as a young boy was reputed to have invented the game of rugby. In 1823, while a pupil at the illustrious Rugby School, Webb Ellis supposedly picked up the ball and ran with it during a football match. The actual trophy awarded to the winners of the Rugby World Cup is called the ‘Webb Ellis Cup’.

The jersey, in navy and yellow hoops, proudly sports the Stanley Biggs Aero Club crest on the left breast.
